I am originally from Broadstairs in Kent but moved to Essex for University, where I met my boyfriend.
I have always had a passion for animals having turning vegetarian at 12 years of age and vegan at 19 years. This shows my compassion and love for all things animal related.
I have owned a variety of animals in my life and currently have 2 cats who own me.
I work alongside my studies as an Animal Welfare and Re-homing Assistant at All Dogs Matter Rescue in London.
I have had huge amounts of interest in anatomy and injuries since being very young when I wanted to go into human physiotherapy. It wasn’t until completing a weeks work experience at a local vets that I discovered you can apply the same to animals, which is where my journey began.
I am a 3rd year Bsc Honours Animal Therapy Student at Writtle University in Essex.
This is a three year programme which allows students to progress through a high quality undergraduate course specialising in Animal Therapy to gain both an, academic and professional qualification.
Studies involve large and companion animals with the bigger focus on dogs and horses, although work can be applied to a variety of animals including cats, rabbits and livestock.
I am currently a student member of the Association of Merishia Therapists. Fully insured through Balens insurance and will be soon starting my practical days to become a fully qualified Canine Merishia Therapist.
